You might remember my Doorstep Portraits from the beginning of the year - of may have even been one of the 55 families I photographed back then, during the first lockdown of 2020. Well, winter rolled around and unfortunately we found ourselves heading for Lockdown 2.0. To spread some Christmas cheer I decided the bring back my Doorstep Portraits but with a sprinkle of Christmas Magic!

Over three weekends I photographed another 25 families each with their own reason for wanting to be involved - some families used the finished images to make Christmas cards, some images were framed and given as gifts and some families just wanted a little snapshot to remember the end of a unique year. It was lovely to see so many friendly faces, some I had even photographed before. Unlike the first time I was able to travel further afield for my Christmas doorstep Portraits and met families from all over Surrey and South West London, including New Malden, Wimbledon, Kingston, Surbiton, Claygate, Esher and Oxshott.

For every session £10 was donated to local charity Staywell, I also collected food items that were given to Kingston Foodbank. I was blown away by the generosity of all the families and was able to take 5 full bags of food to the local foodbank. I am over the moon with what we have achieved together and hope all the families I photographed think of me in years to come, when they look back at their very own snapshot of 2020.

A millions thanks you to you all and Merry Christmas!
